What We Did
The College Merthyr Tydfil sought to enhance a tiered wooden seating area within its campus. This space is regularly used for presentations, lectures, and student gatherings, and the goal was to make it more inviting, comfortable, and functional, encouraging learning, networking, and collaboration.
Our Solution
South West Upholstery was commissioned to design and supply custom upholstered boards tailored to the tiered seating area. The specifications included:
- Custom upholstered boards provide enhanced comfort for students during presentations and gatherings.
- Finished in Camira Mainline Flax, Kentish MLF56 for a durable and visually appealing look.
- Additional slightly smaller boards were also supplied to complement the tiered seating layout, upholstered in Camira Mainline Flax, Moorgate MLF57, adding subtle variation while maintaining a cohesive design.
Outcome
The custom-made upholstered seating pads transformed the tiered seating area, making it a more comfortable and inviting space for students. The upgraded seating now provides an improved environment for presentations, study sessions, and group gatherings.
The use of Camira Mainline Flax fabric added warmth and sophistication, elevating the visual appeal of the spaces. Together, the refurbished areas now encourage social interaction, collaboration, and a more enjoyable learning environment.
