Supplying brand new upholstery for a new trailer unit or specialist vehicle being manufactured is something we regularly do and are happy to work from drawings, templates or boards you supply, or we can cut and manufacture boards to your requirements.
Brand new foam can be selected by comfort grade, carefully cut and shaped ready to upholster in your chosen cloth, leather or vinyl. Once complete your order is dispatched to you, ready to fit into your completed project.
Our in-house team can work with you on any trailers being manufactured within your schedule from 1 unit to the production of 30 + units, maintaining consistency with all. We have successfully completed projects for trailers and specialist vehicles which are now involved on front line service for emergency and medical use across the globe.
Reupholstery & soft furnishings refurbishment for trailer units
If you have a unit requiring complete refurbishment, we can reupholster any type of seating and soft furnishings, from covers only to box cushions, bench seating, operator chairs and fixed upholstery. Each piece is carefully pattern matched to your old covers like for like by our highly skilled sewing machinists, new covers are then marked using chalk and cut by hand. If you are having upholstery made from scratch, we will carefully create your new templates by hand.
We then sew together your new covers attaching zipping and piping. Once complete we carefully fit your new covers back onto your existing foams or onto any new foams and fillings you have selected. If your piece is fitted upholstery we will fit your chosen upholstery and any foams with pride back onto your frame or board.
The end result is having seating professionally refurbished by experts ready for years more use.
Our most recent project was to refurbish x 20 mobile breast screening units from Ireland which required adding new foam profiling to boards provided by the customer, with a bullnose and chamfered edges and upholstered in a suitable, hard-wearing material. We were given a 5 day turnaround time per unit to work with before the trailers were ready to return back to Ireland ready for work.
Replacement cushion inners & fillings for your trailer unit or specialist upholstery
Replacing the foam in your furniture, bedding, or seating in your trailer unit can bring a new lease of life to uncomfortable, sagging items. Simply pop in with one of your cushions or provide us with measurements for a quotation for replacement cushion inners. Replacing your cushion inners and fillings as part of your specialist upholstery or trailer unit upholstery is a fantastic way to add comfort and create a pristine finish to your seating. Mattresses made to measure
Whatever the shape of your trailer or specialist vehicle, we can provide a suitable replacement mattress, or a brand new mattress if required. We work with you to make a mattress for your trailer that matches your desired comfort level, whether that is firm and supportive or with a memory foam top layer for a more sinkable feel. Your mattress can be made to measure to fit a certain size or shape – if there are any unusual curves or cut-outs where your mattress will fit, this is no problem. All mattresses come with stockinette as standard as this helps to reduce the friction between the cover and the foam.
There is the option to use medical purpose foam if so required for your trailer or specialist unit, for example if you require patient mattresses to be made, with an anti-bacterial cover in the material of your choice. Alternatively, the mattress can then be upholstered in calico or a different material of your choice for an elegant finish.
Professional repair to your trailer unit & specialist vehicle upholstery
We can professionally repair any broken or loose stitching. If you have a larger repair required such as a damaged panel or faded leather, our recommended best practice is to remove the damaged piece and replace with fresh materials to make a sound repair. We will work with you to obtain a close match to any new materials required.
We can replace and refill tired droopy, lumpy cushions of any shape and size. This can be done in a wide range of fillings to include; luxurious or contract foam cut to size with added Dacron and stockinette in a range of comfort levels. This is a great option if your upholstery is in good order and can improve the look and feel of your cushions instantly.
