Cushions Gone All Saggy?
Replace your cushions with new, supportive cushions. Often companies that mass-produce furniture such as DFS will suggest fibre as a viable option for base cushions – we would not recommend this as they flatten easily and quickly become lumpy, even when well cared for.
Instead, replace your cushions with new foam or feather inners. Foam is the easiest option in terms of upkeep, with many different foam grades and comfort levels available we can help you find the perfect fit.

Replacement Foam
Cushion re-filling is one of our most popular services. Over the years cushions often lose their shape and our customers are keen to improve both their comfort level and their look. Your cushions will be returned already in their covers so you don’t have to worry about fighting with your covers; nice and easy! We’ll even dispose of your old inners, recycling them where possible. From feather to foam
Feather cushions can be very heavy and require a lot of plumping up on a daily basis. We offer foam grades suitable for replacing feather cushions with foam, meaning they look good without plumping and are often very cost effective. Try our foam samples in store to find your optimum comfort level.
If your preference is feather cushions, we can replace existing cushions with new or supply new feather cushions suitable for back or seat application. You can also order new scatter cushion inners if yours are looking a little sad. For an extra luxurious finish, choose a feather/down mix for that total ‘sinkability’ comfort.

Fixed cushions
Not all cushions are removable from furniture, so we offer a fixed cushion refilling service. It does require more work as the piece of furniture often has to be stripped down to replace the fillings, however it can add years to the furniture’s life. Simply send a photo and rough measurements for your written quotation.
How we craft our sofa inserts
Creating foam cushions isn’t as simply as cutting a piece of foam and putting it in your covers; there is a lot more skill involved. A perfectly ‘domed’ look is created through chamfering or a Dacron wrap to ensure a comfortable finish that looks good on your furniture. Any unusual shapes are cut to a template, having been carefully measured. They are then covered in stockinette and inserted back into the covers if supplied. Following a final quality control check, they are ready to come back to you!

We offer fast turnaround times to ensure your business is left unaffected and open for trade while we work our magic. Some jobs we can complete the same day or even while you wait. All other jobs we aim to complete within 7-14 working days providing your order is booked in advance.
We also hold a wide variety of materials such as leather, fabric, and vinyl to cater for any job. All materials are Crib 5 fire retardant and high quality. We promise a first class service from start to finish on all jobs no matter how big or small your requirements are.
Should you be embarking on a complete overhaul of your premises we can work directly with you or your chosen project company or builder to ensure a smooth job. We currently act for our regular customers including; Loungers, Harvey Shop Fitters, 21st Century Building Services, Smith Brewer, Grounded Café Bars and many more.
If you’re close enough to us, our team will visit your site and remove all seating parts and components ready for upholstery or you are welcome to drop them to us wherever you are in the UK.

Mattresses
We are experienced in making brand new or replacement mattresses for our customers. We make our mattresses cut to size to each order, to any depth required. Dacron & Stockinette
We would usually recommend a Dacron wrap and with stockinette for cushions, depending on the desired finished look and the use of the foam. Dacron is a polyester wrap, designed to create a lovely rounded finish on the cushions. Stockinette helps to reduce friction between the cover and the foam, holds the Dacron in, and makes it easier to fit the cushion into the covers again.
There are different weights available, we would suggest the 14oz to be used with leather furniture and sometimes feather replacement, whereas the 9oz is more commonly used with foam replacement. If you are undertaking your own DIY upholstery project we can supply you with the Dacron only if required.
Foam cushions with feather wrap
Opt for the best of both worlds by replacing your cushions with new cushions with a foam core and a feather wrap. The foam helps the cushions to keep their shape, and the feathers maintain the soft finish. Suitable for back and base cushions, they require less daily attention than feather cushions alone.
About our foam
Our foam is all non-allergenic and our foam and fibre products conform to furniture and furnishings (FIRE) & (SAFETY) regulations 1988 statutory instrument 1324 of 1988, and carries a 1 year guarantee. We have a range of different comfort grades for you to try at our showrooms to make sure you get the perfect comfort level. Please note reticulated foam does not conform to fire regulations and as such we would recommend you store it in a shed or similar if you choose not to leave your cushions outside.

Mattresses Service
Sleep is very important to us, as we’re sure it is to you! Whether you need a new mattress for home, trailers, caravans, campervans or anything else, we’d be happy to hear from you.
Each foam mattress is cut bespoke to order, made to measure to your sizes or template. We would ask for a template to be supplied if your mattress is an unusual shape, such as curved or with a cut-out – as is often the case with caravans and similar!

Where will your mattress be used?
We can and have provided mattresses for use in a large variety of locations, including mattresses for caravans, van conversions, campervans, trailer units, horsebox upholstery, specialist units, boats, and homes. Ranging from small mattresses for children and pets to full Queen size mattresses and more! We can make them to fit into small nooks or to splay out on for maximum comfort.
Foam Grades
It really is your personal preference when it comes to choosing your comfort level for your foam mattress. We will recommend how thick the foam should be as minimum depending on its usage, however we can make this from a firm, supportive foam, or a more sinkable option or something in the middle! You can even mix and match with a firm supportive base a softer top for the best of both worlds, or a luxurious memory foam for your made to measure mattress.
Mattress Size
As each mattress is bespoke and made to order, the size of the mattress is completely up to you. If it needs to fit into an unusual sized space, we can advise how it would best fit, or if it needs to be made up of parts for easy assembly, such as for a boat or motorhome, we are happy to offer advice.
Usage
The minimum requirements for the foam for your mattress will vary depending on the usage of the mattress. If your made to measure mattress is being used every night you will need one designed to last longer than one that is perhaps used once a month. We have on offer a variety of foam grades at different price points to suit your needs.
Soft Foam Toppers
Your options for soft (or firm!) foam toppers are extensive, and we can layer your foam choices in store for you to experience how your foam mattress would feel. For example, you could double side your soft foam with a firm foam in the middle for a turn able, comfortable mattress. The foams are bonded together and will feel just like one mattress.
If you simply need a foam topper for an existing mattress, this is something we can help with. A popular option is a memory foam mattress topper, which moulds to your body heat, providing a luxuriously soft topper to your mattress. There are other foams available as toppers, from super soft to firm, just in case you need a little extra support from your mattress.
Mattress Covers
It often depends on how you intend to use your mattress as to whether we would recommend a mattress cover. In our 18 years of experience, we have found that mattresses for campervans and similar are often best wrapped in stockinette with a hard-wearing top cloth for a dual-use seating/mattress area. However, a mattress for a bed at home or perhaps a caravan would be suited to a calico cover, complete with zip if required, to protect the foam.
