An independent British company

We offer a range of commercial vehicle upholstery services, from small seating repairs to the full upholstery of a commercial vehicle’s interior, including buses and trains. We would love to hear from you about your project regardless of size.

Many types of seating units we work on are very expensive to purchase brand new, so when the time comes and your seating is beginning to look tired and uncomfortable, reupholstery is the best and most cost effective solution. Our customers regularly save thousands of pounds by reupholstering their commercial seating.

We offer unbeatable value and won’t leave you questioning the standards of our workmanship. All of our services are professional and reliable, you can trust South West Upholstery to deliver nothing but the finest quality service. All of our products are handcrafted and made with the highest quality materials using suppliers such as Camira Fabrics for our moquette, Yarwood Leather and more.

We have vast experience working on all types seating for projects including; bus and coach, double deckers, rail, aircraft, HGV vehicles, cranes, trailers, minibuses, vans, lorries, preservation and heritage vehicles for museums and collectors, military, construction seating, agricultural seating, marine seating, fleet management companies and more!

Types of seating worked on

  • Drivers seating; KAB, Chapman, ISRI, Grammer& more
  • Cab Seating

Our satisfied clients include; First Group Bus Company, Stagecoach Bus Company, National Express, Coventry Transport Museum, Bristol Bus & Coach Sales, Knowle Edge Library Bus, Newport Bus, Wessex Connect and many more.

Our biggest project to date has been working with First Group Bristol, Somerset & Avon to refurbish 250 vehicles on a rolling programme. Here we stripped out seating and carried out complete reupholstery including new boards, foams and materials. We produced spare sets of seats specific to each type of vehicle meaning we were able to strip out and fit new seating in one day reducing “vehicle off road” times.

Our customer said

“I worked with Ryan and his upholstery business for a number years working through a heavy bus fleet refurbishment schedule when I was Engineering Support Manager for First Bus, Ryan and his business worked as a partnership with First Bristol, Somerset & Avon and provided a reliable and flexible service.”

Bus and coach restoration

It is very exciting to be involved in projects that keep history alive. Working with our customer Roger Burdett, a bus and coach preservationist, we have been involved in a number of restoration projects including one of the oldest double decker buses in the world! It is very important to source the correct material and upholster to the original design for these vintage buses and coaches, a task that we at South West Upholstery enjoy.
