Our family business specialises in upholstery and new banquette seating made to measure for commercial and contract industries. Our experience and quality has lead us to carry out upholstery on many projects for a wide range of clients across the UK.

We regularly carry out upholstery on existing furniture, new bespoke made to measure seating, soft furnishings, seating repairs and foam replacement for pubs, clubs, restaurants, offices, shops, hotels, night clubs, museums, airports, government buildings, hospitals, cafes, opticians, schools, gyms, call centres, cinemas, schools, colleges, railway companies and stations, military work, care homes, holiday parks, sailing clubs, churches, dentists, buses, coaches, and even for Concorde in her new home in Bristol!

We boast an impressive client base built on years on transparency and trust and are used to working on projects of every kind. Our highly skilled team of experienced crafts people here at #TEAMSWU are able to cut, sew, pattern match, upholster existing furniture, as well as produce bespoke wooden frames and carcasses for any type of furniture or project. Whether you need re-upholstery, a repair, replacement foam or you require brand new banquette seating to be produced we can help you regardless of where you are in the UK!

Our workshop is fully equipped with everything we need to complete each job to the highest standard including traditional upholstery tools, modern production machinery and sewing machines of every kind, from over lockers to twin needle sewing machines! Of course this would all be useless without our experienced staff, who take great pride in their work to ensure that you as the client are happy.

Sub-Contracting / Interior Designer / Building / Shop Fitters

If you need some help with your project and are a shop fitter, interior designer, upholsterer or similar trade professional we can help; we are able to do as much or as little work you require for your project and can deal directly with you or handle the whole order directly with your customer.  Some of our satisfied customers include Harvey Shop fitters, 21st Century Building Services, Court Construction, Badman & Badman, and more.

Turnaround times

We offer fast turnaround times to ensure your business is left unaffected and open for trade while we work our magic. Some jobs we can complete the same day or even while you wait. All other jobs we aim to complete within 7-14 working days providing your order is booked in advance.

We also hold a wide variety of materials such as leather, fabric, and vinyl to cater for any job. All materials are Crib 5 fire retardant and high quality. We promise a first class service from start to finish on all jobs no matter how big or small your requirements are.

Should you be embarking on a complete overhaul of your premises we can work directly with you or your chosen project company or builder to ensure a smooth job. We currently act for our regular customers including; Loungers, Harvey Shop Fitters, 21st Century Building Services, Smith Brewer, Grounded Café Bars and many more.

If you’re close enough to us, our team will visit your site and remove all seating parts and components ready for upholstery or you are welcome to drop them to us wherever you are in the UK.

How it works / get in touch

A trusted name and partner for customers with multiple stores. We can provide a free quotation based on images, drawings, or a site visit if required, and send out free samples in the colour of your choice. We regularly react to our clients’ needs in a speedy timescale. Here a lot of the ground work is already done because we know our customers and their requirements so would have the materials in stock already and know the layout and finish of each store requiring refurbishment. This means we can react quickly when damage appears from one quick email or phone call from the store!

Frames and Woodwork

If you need us to produce the frame or carcassing for your bespoke upholstery project, this is something we would love to help with.

We have a team frame makers with over 20 years’ experience who can produce both one-off pieces and items in bulk. Whether you require a ‘made to measure’ piece for furniture of a certain size to fit your room,or large volumes of the same (or different) items for business clients opening multiple sites, we can help.

Our frames are made from high quality woods such as beech hardwood and birch plywood. We supply specialist hardwoods such as oak, black walnut and sapele for show wood legs. All our materials are FSC approved from renewable sources.

Frames can be made from patterns that have been provided or we can create new patterns from furniture frames supplied that need duplicating. Your furniture frames can also be created from various sources such as technical drawings, photographs, pictures from magazines, catalogues and sketches if you have seen something you really like.

Once your frame is complete we are able to French polish or spray any wooden show parts such as legs, panels or arms to any colour of your choice. This could be a simple dark walnut finish or a stand-out colour from Farrow and Ball paints. As you can see, this means you have complete customisation of your upholster from the frame to the fillings to the top cloth!

Foam replacement in seating and commercial environments

With the wear that commercial and contract furniture gets, it’s no surprise when the foams or fillings wear out before the top cloth. In this case, we can provide new foams and fillings for a range of seating, including: waiting room seating, sofas, chairs, bench seating units, and more.

Visit our showrooms to discuss your upholstery needs for your project with one of our friendly sales team in a no pressure environment. We don’t pressure sell and never will. You can also send drawings or photographs, or call for a rough quotation. You can browse a full range of fabric, leather and vinyl sample books on display and ask as many questions as you like. We encourage you to try out the wide selection of foam and fillings we have available to determine your perfect comfort grade. Here you will see first-hand our work and the quality we offer. If you are local to the Bristol/Bath area we can carry out a free site visit to take any measurements and discuss your project in person.


Once we have recorded all of your requirements, we will provide you with a typed quotation on headed paper there and then, which will clearly give a breakdown of costs – we have nothing to hide! Any materials you like in store we offer to post free samples directly to you to live with for a while.


You may decide to proceed at this point or you may need more time to decide, which is absolutely fine as your quotation is valid for 30 days. If you decide to choose us, we will request a 50% deposit on your order to book your work in and order any bespoke materials for your job. We will clearly confirm to you how long the work will take and when the work will begin.
